E4 in Cyprus

Cyprus is the eleventh country I have visited in my walk across Europe on the E4 European Long Distance Walk, which I started in Tarifa, Spain some five years ago (for more details see Traildino.com). At the end of this section I will have completed the trail. Cyprus is the most recent country in which a route for the E4 has been devised and it was evidently designed for the international traveller as it starts at Paphos (or Pafos) airport and ends at Larnaca (or Larnaka) airport. Researching this trip was not too difficult, a few people have walked it, and waymarkedtrails.org has GPS tracks for most of the route, although a few bits, especially in the east were missing. These I reconstructed from maps in a booklet on the E4 produced by the Cyprus Tourist Organisation (and seemingly no longer available), together with a map of the country available for my Garmin Etrex 30x. As I was leaving in late September I was expecting the weather to be hot, and packed accordingly.
Based on various blogs I was not expecting too much from the E4 in Cyprus, but I will be pleased if it turns out better than expected.
